Oilfield Heavy Haulers: (OHH)

The Oilfield Heavy Hauler Course was developed in response to recommendations from the Upstream Petroleum Industry Task Force on Safety (UPITFOS). The purpose of this course is to provide specific training for heavy haulers in the petroleum industry. Upon completion you will have the knowledge to developed the skills and ability to work safely and efficiently as a heavy hauler in the oilfield industry. Course includes subjects:

Oilfield Swampers:

The Oilfield Swampers Course is designed to prepare you for a position as an assistant to the person who drives a truck or operates truck mounted equipment. Swamping is a very important job and could be your first step in a career in the Petroleum Industry. This course will:

Introduce you to a variety of different types of transportation other than "over the road" or "long haul" trucking.

Introduce you to new and different types of equipment and how to use or handle them.

Provide you with a vocabulary for all the different types and styles of equipment, vehicles and load components.

Provide you with the information to perform critical tasks in a  safe and efficient manner.

Provide you with a list of the most common hazards that you will encounter as a swamper.

Provide you with the information and training you need to move on to the position of driver
