DESCRIPTION:Learning Pathways Class 1 program set by: Alberta Transportation \n10-day course excluding Saturdays\, Sundays\, and Holidays \n8:00 am – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday \nLearning Pathways Course Includes: \n      Entry Program – $250.00 paid to Alberta Transportation (driver.training.alberta.ca) \nStudents must have a myalberta.ca account to sign in to do the online lessons \n\n40 hours of online training\n\nCore Learning Program – $6800.00 \n\n60 hours of in truck training including in-yard and in-cab training\n\nWhen the Core Learning has been completed students can do a Provincial Restricted Class 1 Road Test. The Restricted Class 1 allows students to drive Class 1within Alberta. \nCompetence Building – $2500.00 \n\n17-25 more hours of driver training\nWill focus on results of the Provincial Class 1 road test\n\n  \n\nStudents must have a full Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License to start the program.\nStudents must have a passed Driver’s Class 1 Medical before starting the program.\nAirbrakes Course must be taken before training begins. Cost for the Airbrakes Course is $250.00 and is 1-day 8:00am – 5:30 pm\nStudents must pass a Class 1 Knowledge Test at a Registries office after the classroom portion of the program before a Road Test can be confirmed.\nMandatory attendance is required to complete the program in the dates you have chosen to attend.\n\nA non-refundable deposit of $2000 due at time of booking. Total payment must be paid 1-month prior to course start date or Start-Rite reserves the right to pull the student from the Course.  There is a $300 fee for the use of our truck you trained in for your road test.  Training hours over and above the allotted time is $150 per hour. \n  \nSeparate costs paid by the student include: \n\nRoad Test Permit $217\nRoad Test Truck Time Fee $300\nDrivers Class 1 Medical\nAirbrakes at Start-Rite\nClass 1 Knowledge Test and Airbrakes Knowledge Test at a Registries Office $17.60 per test\n\nIf you require further assistance\, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. \nFUNDING: Information and application can be found on Alberta Transportation website.
